There are many parts the contribute to the tilt we observe on the images. The most critical is the camera stack, everything between the camera and the focuser. There can also be misalignments and tilt in the refractor itself that contributes to tilt (e.g. the focuser). We have decided to split the TiltAdjuster in two, the instrument and the adapter. The main reason for this is to increase the quality of the adapter interface surface. The initial idea was to glue them together to form the standard TiltAdjuster, but the screw joint turned out to be firm enough without gluing.
