We have received information from a customer that struggle with adjusting setups with color cameras with IR-Filter. I such a setup there will be multiple blobs where using the correct blob to calibrate on can be difficult to decide.
One of out customer, Bob Bryan Thanks BOB, has done an excellent job on this and has got excellent analysis result fram ASTAP, between 3% and 6% which is very good. The image below that I got from him marks the different blobs. He found that the blob marked B is the correct to use in Manual Mode.
It is assumed that the IR filter is located at a distance from the sensor, which in most cases will generate blobs that are separated as shown on the image below. We are currently investigating this situation and will inform the users when we have reached a conclusion.
Hope this helps. Please comment on this both if correct and incorrect so that we can learn.
